Am adus din Grecia citeva pungi de masline kalamata, vinete de grase ce sint; daca exista masline mai bune decit astea, eu nu le stiu. In septembrie mergem iar, de data asta aduc un portbagaj plin.

Supa de rosii se face din rosii, va rog lasati-ma cu morcovi, ardei, telina, apio (???)  si alte chestii sanatoase. Ca sa nu fie prea de rosii mai pui usturoi si busuioc, sare, zahar, atit, gata, pa, facem mancare gourmet aici, nu  RCM2*.

E plina piata de mazare noua, si cum nu tine mult, doar citeva saptamani, am luat doua kile; am luat pastai, fiindca desfacutul pastailor de mazare cu un pahar de vin alaturi e o ocupatie care indeamna la meditatie.

Am avut o treaba in Militari si am zis ca e musai sa incerc pomul laudat. Ca sa elimin orice suspans - au trecut cam 7 ore de la masa si mi-e cam rau.

Vapiano asta e o franciza nemteasca de mancare italiana fast-food cu pretentii de mancare buna. Un fel de fast-food gourmet, daca-mi permiteti oximoronul. Ferma de scoici Dalboka vinde si scoici proaspete pentru gatit acasa, la pretul ridicol de 3.5 leva kilu, asa ca n-am putut rezista si am luat doua kile pentru acasa. Din doua kile mananca bine de tot 4 persoane foarte flamande sau 6-8 daca le mai dai si altceva. N-avea sens sa iau mai multe, fructele de mare sint cu totul altceva cind sint proaspete, congelate isi pierd tot farmecul.

Am fost si noi la faimoasa ferma de scoici din Bulgaria, la fel faimoasa in biosfera ca in blogosfera; cam toti amicii, cunoscutii, vanzatorii, soferii de taxi, preotii si politistii cu care am vorbit in ultima vreme stiau de ea. Iti trebuie capsuni, frisca, zahar si un congelator bun; poti sa mai pui si un pic de zeama de lamaie, sau lime. N-ai nevoie de masina de inghetata.


Amesteci capsunii curatati/spalati cu zahar, ii storcosesti bine cu o furculita sau cu scula de facut piure (sau mai putin bine, depinde cit de chunky vrei sa iasa), amesteci sa se dizolve zaharul.

Crutoanele se fac din paine veche, data la cuptor cu ulei de masline, branza si alte chestii. Daca n-ai paine veche, se poate face din paine proaspata, tinuta intai la cuptor la temperatura mica sa se usuce un pic; vreo 30 de minute, cuptorul la minim. 
Dupa ce s-a uscat, se freaca cu un pic de usturoi, se unge cu ulei de masline si se pune ce branza ai chef, numa sa se intinda. Pe drumu' de Cluj, intre Tg. Mures si Sighisoara, stau oamenii cu ceapa la vanzare pe marginea drumului. Vand o ceapa rosie, mare si foarte dulce, ideala pentru caramelizat. Si usturoi...</title><summary type='text'>Nu prea ma dau in vant dupa pieptul de pui, e greu de gatit; daca il lasi 30 de secunde mai mult decit trebuie devine sec si atos. In mod normal trebuie sa stea foarte putin pe foc ca sa ramana fraged; in restaurantele si gospodariile romanesti pieptul de pui este prajit pina se face ca o bucata de carton. Daca e buna, dupa vreo 10 minute incepe sa faca mici bule la suprafata. Poti sa gusti amestecul asta, o sa aiba un gust placut, proaspat, de drojdie. Daca drojdia e prea veche si toti sporii din ea sint morti, nu se va intampla nimic. Sansele sint mici, mai ales daca folosesti vreo drojdie uitata prin sertare cu anii. Adica fara sa platesti preturi ridicole, de parca ai cumpara delicatese. De fapt se pare ca painea buna a ajuns o delicatesa, nu mai e o chestie de fiecare zi.
